Account Manager FMCG

Our client Jacobs Douwe Egberts, based in Brussels’ region,  is a well-known market leader in food & drinks, serving their brands to clients in more than 100 countries. As a trusted partner for drinks, ingredients and professional service, visiting corporate clients, they offer the right solutions for those clients’ tea and coffee needs.

They’re currently looking for a National Account Manager B2B, setting the indirect channel business from scratch, further develop & leverage.

UW FUNCTIE

The National Account Manager (NAM) is fully responsible for the indirect channel, setting the business structure, defining strategy, negotiating contracts,

While building partnerships, s/he’ll manage, orient and develop indirect channel segment via prospecting and extending existing client portfolio, ensuring total availability of the products;

Build strong relationships with his/her major accounts and manage and control the business conditions and the pricing as well as promotional expenditures and special projects;

Achieve objectives in terms of turnover, volume, profit, by presenting concepts, systems, ingredients, and cross selling;

Being closely involved in business teams consisting of various positions such as marketing, finance, planning and supply chain;

Establish, recommend and implement the strategic approach related to the dedicated customer;

Stay updated of market trends, competitors, price strategies, in-depth market analysis, while extending the segmentation approach (hotels, on-the-go, QSR, petrol, platforms, …), influencing and getting the buy-in of key account clients.

UW PROFIEL

Master Degree;

Successful proven track record (at least 5 years) in B2B FMCG – preferably food service – preferably as senior Key Account or Sales Manager, with valid experience with central buying service;

A good knowledge of indirect market and its customers is needed;

Demonstrated experience with setting a business from scratch, developing sales plans, disposing strong project and managerial skills;

Solid leadership skills and excels in planning and organisation;

Dutch and French – English is an asset;

Analytical and understanding for business processes and operational context; critical analysing commercial processes and setting priorities;

Strong Personality: taking ownership, fighting entrepreneurial person with strong empathy skills, independent and self-disciplined, self-motivating person, stress resistant, performance driven, accurate, prioritising; hands-on and solution oriented; able to manage ambiguity and diverse team members;

Operational excellence;

Strong Interpersonal Skills: excellent negotiation and influencing skills; persuasiveness;

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
